My Position In Christ
A New and Living Way
I. My Position in Christ
A. I am a child of God. “But as many as received Him, to them gave
He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His
name.” (John 1:12)
B. I am Christ’s friend. “Henceforth I call you not servants; for
the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth; but I have called you
friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made
known unto you.” (John 15:15)
C. I have been justified by faith. “Therefore being justified by
faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(Romans 5:1)
D. I am no longer condemned. “There is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but
after the Spirit.” (Romans: 8:1)
E. I am a saint. “And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because
He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
(Romans 8:27)
F. I am assured that all things work together for good. “And we know
that all things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
G. I have been established, anointed and sealed. “Now He which
stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who
hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our
hearts.” (2 Corinthians 1:21, 22)
H. I have been bought with a price and made His own. “For ye are
bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:20)
I. I am a member of Christ’s Body. “Now ye are the Body of Christ, and members in particular.” (1 Corinthians 12:27)
J. I am a new creation. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things are
become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
K. I have been declared righteous.
“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we
might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
L. I am God’s child by faith. “For ye are all the children of God by
faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)
M. I am accepted by God. “To the praise of the glory of His grace,
wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:6)
N. I have direct access to God. “For through Him we both have access
by one Spirit unto the Father.” (Ephesians 2:18)
O. I have been redeemed. “In Whom we have redemption through His
blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:14)
P. I am blessed with all spiritual blessings. “Blessed be the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all
spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3)
Q. I am seated in heavenly places in Christ. “And hath raised us up
together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ
Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:6)
R. I am God’s workmanship. “For we are His workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
S. I am brought nigh to God. “But now in Christ Jesus ye who
sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”
(Ephesians 2:13)
T. I may approach God with courage and confidence. “In Whom we have
boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.” (Ephesians
3:12)
U. I am confident He will see me through. “Being confident of this
very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform
it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
V. I am given strength for all things. “I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)
W. I am complete in Christ Jesus. “And ye are complete in Him, which
is the head of all principality and power.” (Colossians 2:10)
X. I am buried and raised with Christ. “Buried with Him in baptism,
wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the
operation of God, Who hath raised Him from the dead.” (Colossians
2:12)
Y. I am hidden with Christ in God. “For ye are dead, and your life
is hid with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3)
Z. I can receive grace and mercy in time of need. “Let us therefore
come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and
find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
